Trek
From Gokyo Lakes, make your way back to Gokyo village. The trek back to Gokyo village will take approximately 2-3 hours, depending on your pace. Ensure you have enough water and snacks for the journey. Upon reaching Gokyo village, head towards the main trail that leads to Namche Bazaar. The trek from Gokyo village to Namche will take around 5-6 hours and involves some steep sections. Follow the signs and be cautious of the trail markers.
Trek to Lawudo
After reaching Namche Bazaar, you will need to continue your journey towards Lawudo Gompa. Follow the signs towards Kyangjuma, then take the trail that leads to Lawudo Gompa, located just a short distance from Namche. The trek from Namche to Lawudo Gompa will take about 1-1.5 hours. Look for the unique rock formations as you approach the gompa. Keep your camera handy for stunning views along the way.
Return Trek
After your visit to Lawudo Gompa, retrace your steps back to Namche Bazaar. The return trek will also take around 1-1.5 hours. From Namche, you can either continue your trek back to Gokyo Lakes or stay overnight in Namche before heading out the next day.
