I concatenated the Manaslu and the Annapurna circuits, with total satisfaction. I know that I am no easy companion: I take long pauses to shoot photos, then I want to explore here and there, I ask to reach that hill outside the path in order to shoot a panorama... Well, my Sherpa Sonam managed all this with extreme patience and professionality, and I still wonder how he could do!!! Moreover, he made me the gift of several gorgeous unplanned side tours: Punggen Gompa, Milarepa Gompa, Ponker Lake, a double ascent to the Tilicho Lake, and more. I will go back and I cannot but recommend such an experience.

Life List Dream Fulfilled

Our recent trek on the Manaslu circuit fulfilled a lifelong dream and met our highest expectations, made possible by the Himalaya Guide team. From organizing the logistics from abroad with Chandra to completing the trek, led by guide Mr. Pratap and porter Mr. Birsing, the adventure was essentially flawless. The scenery ranks among the most stunning on the planet, and the trail infrastructure is impressive. Pratap did an outstanding job of ensuring that we were always physically safe and comfortable, informed about the daily activities, and well attended to at the tea house accommodations. Birsing is also an amazing porter, tough, and always cheerful and helpful, even while staggering over rough trail with 30 kgs balanced on his back. The pace and distance of the daily segments were perfect for us (aged 65 and 67 and in good physical shape), and we completed every step of it, including the 5150 m pass, with minimal discomfort. We were admittedly concerned about altitude sickness, but did not experience even minor symptoms, which we attribute to the acclimation schedule. We have led adventure-rich lives, experiencing wilderness travel in some of the best places in the world, and we rank this trek among the top experiences of all. Therefore, we highly recommend it and the services of Himalaya Guides.
