To reach Langtang National Park by car, start your journey from Kathmandu. Head north on the Prithvi Highway (also known as the Kathmandu-Pokhara Highway). The drive will take approximately 6 to 7 hours. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you towards Dhunche, which is the last major town before entering the park. Once you reach Dhunche, continue towards the entry point of Langtang National Park. There is a parking area near the park entrance where you can leave your vehicle.

For budget travelers, taking a public bus is a great option. From Kathmandu, head to the bus station at Machchapokhari and catch a bus to Dhunche. Buses run regularly, and the journey takes around 7 to 8 hours. Tickets typically cost around NPR 500-700. Once you arrive in Dhunche, you can either walk to the park entrance, which is about 30 minutes away, or hire a local taxi for around NPR 300-400.

Trekking
If you are feeling adventurous and physically fit, consider starting your trek from Dhunche to Langtang National Park. The trek takes approximately 3 to 4 days, following the Langtang Valley trail. Make sure to carry enough food, water, and camping gear, as facilities are limited along the way. Before you start your trek, you will need to obtain a TIMS (Trekkers' Information Management System) card and a Langtang National Park entry permit, which can be done in Kathmandu or Dhunche. The costs for these permits are around NPR 2000 for the park entry and NPR 1000 for the TIMS card.
