From Kanchenjunga Base Camp, first, you will need to drive to the nearest major town, which is Taplejung. Depending on road conditions, the drive may take around 3 to 4 hours. Once in Taplejung, you can hire a local jeep or taxi to take you towards the Sandakphu trailhead. The ride will take approximately 2 hours. Make sure to confirm the fare beforehand, which typically ranges from NPR 2000 to NPR 3000. Upon reaching the trailhead at Tumlingtar, you will need to trek the remaining distance to Sandakphu.
