From Kanchenjunga Base Camp, you will first need to drive to the nearest major town, which is Taplejung. The drive will take approximately 6-8 hours depending on road conditions. From Taplejung, head to the district headquarter of Phidim. This part of the drive will take about 4 hours. Once you reach Phidim, you can hire a jeep or take local transportation to the trailhead at Num, which is about 2 hours away. Make sure to check for any required permits before starting your trek.

If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from Kanchenjunga Base Camp to Taplejung. The bus ride will take around 6-8 hours. Once in Taplejung, switch to a local bus or jeep heading towards Phidim. After reaching Phidim, take a local jeep or bus to Num, which will take about 2 hours. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they can vary.
