Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in Thamel, head north on Tridevi Marg towards the Ratna Park. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Durbar Marg. Take a left onto Durbar Marg and walk until you reach the main bus station, called the Gaushala Bus Park. From there, look for a microbus or local bus heading towards Budhanilkantha. Once you board the bus, inform the conductor that you want to go to Budhanilkantha Temple. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. After arriving at Budhanilkantha, walk along Nepal Vipassana Meditation Center Rd for about 10 minutes until you reach the temple.

• Public Transport

  From Ratna Park, take a local bus to Budhanilkantha. Look for buses marked with 'Budhanilkantha' on the front. The fare is usually around 30 NPR. The journey will take about 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Budhanilkantha bus stop, exit the bus and walk along Nepal Vipassana Meditation Center Rd for approximately 10 minutes to reach Budhanilkantha Temple.

• Taxi or Ride-Share

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi or use a ride-sharing app like Pathao or Tootle. Simply set your destination to Budhanilkantha Temple. The ride from Thamel will take around 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic, and will cost approximately 500-800 NPR. Make sure to confirm the location with the driver before starting your journey.
