Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Thamel, head east on Tridevi Marg until you reach the intersection with Durbar Marg. Turn left onto Durbar Marg and walk until you reach the intersection with Bagmati River. Cross the river using the Bagmati Bridge. Once across, continue straight on the road until you reach the Ring Road. Gaushala Ground will be on your left after approximately 10 minutes of walking.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    From Thamel, walk to the nearest bus stop on the Kantipath Road. Board a bus heading towards Boudhanath or Bhaktapur. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at Gaushala. The bus will typically take about 30 minutes to reach the Gaushala area. Once you disembark, Gaushala Ground will be a short walk away, located along the Ring Road.

  • Walking from Pashupatinath

    If you are near Pashupatinath Temple, walk towards the east side of the temple complex. Continue walking along the Bagmati River until you reach the Ring Road. Turn left onto Ring Road, and walk for about 5-10 minutes. Gaushala Ground will be on your left, easily visible from the main road.

  • Taxi (if needed for longer distances)

    If you are coming from a more distant area of Kathmandu, you can take a taxi to Gaushala Ground. Direct the driver to P84W+JFQ, Ring Rd, Kathmandu 44600. The taxi ride will vary depending on traffic, but you can expect it to take anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes.
