Bus
To reach Chitlang from Kathmandu, start at the Ratna Park Bus Station in the heart of the city. Look for a bus heading towards Makwanpur or Pharping. The journey will take approximately 2-3 hours, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Chitlang bus stop, exit the bus and you will be in the vicinity of Chitlang. From there, you can ask locals for directions to your specific destination within Chitlang.
Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from a shop in Thamel. Head towards the ring road and follow the signs to Pharping. The route to Chitlang is scenic and takes you through beautiful countryside. It’s about a 20 km ride, so be prepared for a workout! Once you reach the Chitlang area, follow the road signs or ask locals for further directions to your destination.
Hiking
For the more adventurous souls, you can hike to Chitlang. Start your journey from the outskirts of Kathmandu, heading towards the village of Pharping. From Pharping, take the trail that leads up the hills towards Chitlang. The hike will take around 5-6 hours but offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Make sure to bring enough water and snacks for the journey.
