Car
If you are driving from Kathmandu, take the Prithvi Highway (Route 1) towards Naubise. After reaching Naubise, follow signs towards Kulekhani. Continue on the Kulekhani Road until you reach Markhu. The drive will take approximately 2-3 hours depending on traffic conditions. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition as some roads may be steep and winding.
Public Transportation
From Kathmandu, head to the bus park at Ratna Park. Look for a bus heading to Naubise; these are frequent and the fare is approximately NPR 200. Once you reach Naubise, you can find a local jeep or microbus that goes to Kulekhani. The fare for the jeep to Kulekhani is about NPR 150-200. Ask the driver to drop you off at Markhu, which is a short distance from Kulekhani. The total journey might take around 3-4 hours, including waiting times.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Kathmandu to Markhu. This is the most convenient but also the most expensive option, with fares ranging from NPR 4000 to NPR 6000 depending on negotiation and vehicle type.
