Getting There

    If you are starting from Thamel, head south on the main road towards the Kathmandu Durbar Square. Continue straight until you reach the end of the street where it intersects with the Bhaktapur Durbar Square road. Turn left and walk along this road, passing by various shops and cafes. Keep walking straight until you see the large entrance gate to Kathmandu Durbar Square. Hanuman Dhoka is located within the square, and you will find the impressive architecture as soon as you enter.

    If you are coming from the Ratna Park area, walk towards the western end of the park and head straight towards the Durbar Square. You will pass through a market area filled with local vendors. Continue walking straight; you will eventually reach the entrance to Kathmandu Durbar Square. Hanuman Dhoka is situated inside this historical site.

    For those starting from Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), make your way down the steps leading to the main road. Once at the bottom, take a left and walk straight until you reach the large traffic circle.
