Once you reach the intersection with Durbar Marg, turn right and continue walking. After about 5 minutes, you will reach the entrance to Kathmandu Durbar Square, a large open plaza with historical significance. Look for the tall temples and the bustling atmosphere.

Find a local bus station in Thamel. Look for buses that head towards 'Basantapur' or 'Durbar Square'. The bus fare is very affordable, typically around 30-50 NPR (Nepalese Rupees). Once you board the bus, stay alert for announcements or look for signs indicating stops. After about 10-15 minutes, ask the driver to let you know when you reach Basantapur. From the bus stop, it’s a short 5-minute walk to the entrance of Kathmandu Durbar Square.
