Walking
If you are in Thamel, start by heading west on Tridevi Marg toward the entrance of Durbar Marg. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Bagbazar. Turn right and follow the road for another 500 meters until you reach the Bagmati River. Cross the bridge and continue straight onto Swayambhu Marg. Keep walking for about 1 kilometer, and you will see the Maha Manjushree Temple on your left, situated in Swayambhu.

From Thamel, walk to the nearest bus stop at Kantipath. Catch a bus heading towards Swayambhu. The fare is very affordable, usually around NPR 20. Inform the conductor that you are going to Swayambhu. Once you reach the Swayambhu bus stop, disembark and walk straight down the road for about 200 meters until you arrive at the Maha Manjushree Temple.
