Getting There

Walking

If you are starting from Thamel, head south on the main road (Ason Road) until you reach the Ason Chowk. From there, take a right onto the road leading to the south which will eventually become Lagankhel. Continue straight until you reach the Lagankhel bus station. From Lagankhel, you can take a local bus or walk towards Patan. If you prefer walking, it’s about a 20-minute stroll from Lagankhel to Patan Darbar Square. As you walk, keep an eye for the Patan Museum sign, which is located near the square.
Public Bus

From Thamel, walk to the nearest bus stop on Durbar Marg and catch a bus heading towards Lagankhel. The bus fare is very affordable. Once you arrive at Lagankhel, you can either walk (approximately 15 minutes) or take a short taxi or rickshaw ride to Patan Darbar Square. Let the driver know your destination, and they will take you directly there.
Rickshaw

For a more convenient option, you can take a rickshaw from anywhere in Kathmandu. Simply tell the driver 'Patan Darbar Square' or show them the address (Lalitpur 44600). The ride should take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to negotiate the fare before you start your journey.
Tourist Taxi
