Getting There

• Bus

  From Kathmandu, head to the Ratna Park Bus Station. Look for a local bus heading to Bhaktapur; the fare is typically around NPR 50. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Bhaktapur, get off at the main bus stop. From there, Pottery Square is about a 10-minute walk. Head east towards the old city entrance, then follow the signs to Pottery Square (कुम्हः त्व).

• Microbus

  At Ratna Park in Kathmandu, find a microbus heading to Bhaktapur. The microbus is faster than the standard bus and costs around NPR 60. The journey should take around 30 to 45 minutes. Once you reach Bhaktapur, disembark at the last stop, which is near the old city area. Walk towards the main square and follow the signs to Pottery Square, which is a short 5-minute walk from there.

• Rickshaw

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a rickshaw from anywhere in Bhaktapur. Just inform the driver you want to go to Pottery Square (कुम्हः त्व). The fare should range between NPR 100 to 200 depending on your starting point within Bhaktapur. Most drivers will know the location, and it's a convenient option for short distances.

• Walking

  If you are staying in Bhaktapur, you can easily walk to Pottery Square. From the Bhaktapur Durbar Square, head southeast towards the narrow streets lined with shops selling pottery. Follow the signs to Pottery Square (कुम्हः त्व), which is about a 15-minute walk from the Durbar Square. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the local artisans along the way.
