From the central square of Durbar Square, head towards the entrance of the Hanuman Dhoka Palace. Walk past the entrance and continue straight. You will see the King Pratap Malla Column directly in front of you. It is hard to miss as it stands tall and is surrounded by other historical structures. The column is located in the same area as the Kathmandu Durbar Square, making it easily accessible from various angles.

If you are near the Kasthamandap temple, exit the temple area and walk towards the large open space in the Durbar Square. Move towards the left-hand side of the square, where you will see the King Pratap Malla Column at the far end. It is located just a short distance away, so follow the pathway along the edge of the square.
