The encouragement we needed to try the truly local cuisine

We consider ourselves to be foodies, and we really enjoy taking food tours. This one was lovely! We met Swoyam, our guide, and I explained that I’d need to walk slowly and take breaks as I was nursing a painful blister on my foot. It was just my wife and I with Swoyam and we strolled through passageways, courtyards and neighborhoods we’d never have found on our own, and the dishes we tried were varied and delicious. I’d have hesitated to eat some of the street foods without Swoyam’s encouragement and reassurance. We mainly stuck to the vegetarian options, although I did try one or two non-vege dishes too. It was a relaxed, informative and delicious evening, and excellent value - highly recommended.

I did the bar tour with them till the morning and we went straight to the breakfast tour, coffee, local breakfast items, we took a walk in the local market area, a ton of water which helped with the hangover.. we also went to the small local temples in the market.. slept like the baby that night 😅
