Microbus
You can also take a microbus from various locations in Kathmandu. Head to the New Bus Park area, where you will find microbuses heading to Bhaktapur. The fare is generally around NPR 50, and the journey time is similar to that of a regular bus, around 1 hour. Disembark at the Bhaktapur bus station and make your way towards Bhaktapur Durbar Square, which is about a 15-minute walk from there.
Cycle Rickshaw
If you're looking for a more personalized approach, you can hire a cycle rickshaw from any central location in Kathmandu. Negotiate the fare beforehand; it should cost you around NPR 1500-2500 for a trip to Bhaktapur. The ride will take about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic and your starting point. The rickshaw will drop you off at the entrance to Bhaktapur, and from there, it is a short walk to Durbar Square.
Walking
