Getting There

  If you prefer a quicker option, consider renting a bicycle. There are several rental shops scattered throughout Thamel. Look for 'bicycle rental' signs or ask your hotel for recommendations. Rental costs typically range from NPR 300 to NPR 600 per day. Once you have a bike, ride down Thabahi Sadak towards the main square and explore the side streets. Just be cautious of traffic and pedestrians.

  For a unique experience, take a cycle rickshaw. You can easily find rickshaw drivers near major intersections in Thamel. Agree on a fare before starting your ride; it usually costs around NPR 200 to NPR 500 depending on your destination within Thamel. Enjoy the ride as you navigate through the vibrant streets.

  If you're looking to travel a bit farther, you can take a local bus. The nearest bus stop is located at the edge of Thamel near the Kathmandu Durbar Square.
