From the center of Thamel, head towards the north on the main street, which is known as 'Thamel Marg'. Keep walking straight for about 10-15 minutes. You will pass by various shops and restaurants. Look for the 'Kathmandu Guest House' on your right, which is a good landmark. Continue straight, and you will eventually reach a roundabout. Take the first exit on your left and continue walking straight for another 5 minutes. As you walk, keep an eye out for local signs directing to 'Swayambhunath' or 'Monkey Temple'. Dorje is located not far from this popular landmark.

If you prefer to rent a bicycle, there are several rental shops in Thamel. Rent a bicycle, and head towards 'Thamel Marg'. Cycle north for about 10-15 minutes, passing 'Kathmandu Guest House'. After reaching the roundabout, take the first exit on your left. Continue cycling straight for another 5 minutes until you see signs for 'Swayambhunath'. Dorje will be nearby. Ensure you are aware of the local traffic rules while cycling.
