Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, first make your way to the town of Syabrubesi, which is the main gateway to Langtang Valley. From Kathmandu, it is approximately a 7-8 hour drive. Once in Syabrubesi, you will need to park your vehicle securely in a designated parking area as private vehicles are not allowed further into the Langtang National Park. From Syabrubesi, you can find local jeep services that travel to Langtang Valley. This ride will take about 2-3 hours, dropping you off at the nearest entry point to the valley.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Tatopani Kunda using public transportation, you can take a bus or a microbus from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi. This journey will take about 7-8 hours and usually costs around NPR 800-1200. After reaching Syabrubesi, you will need to take a local jeep or a shared taxi to the Langtang Valley. The jeep ride will take around 2-3 hours, and the fare is typically NPR 500-700 per person. Ensure to inform the driver to drop you off at the nearest point to Tatopani Kunda as you approach the valley.

• Trekking

  Upon reaching Langtang Valley, you will continue your journey on foot. From the nearest jeep drop-off point, follow the marked trekking trails towards Tatopani Kunda. It may take approximately 1-2 hours of trekking, depending on your pace. Look for local signposts and follow the path leading to the hot springs. The trek will provide beautiful views of the surrounding landscape, but ensure you have suitable trekking gear and enough water for the hike.
