Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest major town in Dhaulagiri Zone, which is Beni. Drive on the Beni-Jomsom road towards Jomsom. The road is well-maintained but can be winding and steep in some areas. Make sure to follow the signs to Jomsom. Once you reach Jomsom, continue on the road towards Kowang. The Dhaulagiri Sanctuary Trek starts from Kowang, located approximately 30 minutes from Jomsom. You can park your car in Kowang before starting your trek.
