Walking
From the Lumbini Sacred Garden entrance, head east towards the main road (Lumbini Road). Walk along Lumbini Road for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Kalika Road on your right. Turn right onto Kalika Road and continue walking for about 2 kilometers. You will pass by local shops and residences, which will give you a glimpse of local life. Once you reach the base of Thulakot Hill, you will find a trail leading upwards. Follow the trail, which is well-marked, for about 1 kilometer to reach the summit of Thulakot Hill.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Lumbini. Head east on Lumbini Road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Kalika Road junction. Turn right onto Kalika Road and cycle for approximately 2 kilometers. Be cautious of the local traffic. Once you arrive at the base of Thulakot Hill, park your bicycle and take the marked trail leading to the top. The hike will take about 20-30 minutes, depending on your pace.
Local Transport (Rickshaw)
From any location in Lumbini, find a local rickshaw (tuk-tuk). Tell the driver to take you to Thulakot Hill or simply say 'Kalika.' The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes depending on traffic conditions. Once you arrive at the base of the hill, you will need to take the trail leading to the summit on foot, which takes about 20-30 minutes.
