Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car from central Pokhara, head east on the Prithvi Highway (Highway 1) towards the area of MaddyHill. Follow the signs for Sarangkot, which is a popular viewpoint. After about 6 km, take a left turn towards Sarangkot and continue for another 2 km. Eventually, you'll reach a small road that leads up to MaddyHill. Make sure to watch for signs indicating the location. Parking may be available near the base of MaddyHill.

• Public Bus

  To get to MaddyHill via public transportation, find a local bus heading to Sarangkot from the Lakeside area of Pokhara. Buses typically leave from the main bus station and cost around 30 NPR (Nepalese Rupees). The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you reach Sarangkot, you'll need to either hike or take a local taxi to reach MaddyHill. Hikes can take about 30 minutes depending on your pace, and a taxi ride should cost around 400-500 NPR.

• Taxi

  For a more direct route, hiring a taxi from Pokhara to MaddyHill is a convenient option. You can negotiate a fare with the driver, and it should cost around 800-1000 NPR for a one-way trip. The journey will take approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your journey to avoid any misunderstandings.

• Hiking

  If you're feeling adventurous, you can hike to MaddyHill from Sarangkot. The trail is well-marked, and it takes about 1 hour to reach the top. Be prepared with water and snacks, as there may not be facilities along the way. The hike offers stunning views, so take your time and enjoy the scenery.
