Walking
Start from the main viewpoint in Nagarkot, which is located near the main road. From there, walk down the path towards the Nagarkot to Kathmandu road. Follow this road downhill for approximately 1.5 km until you reach the turnoff for the local bus stop. The bus stop is near the small shop where you can buy snacks. Wait here for a bus heading towards Kathmandu. Once on the bus, ask the driver to drop you off at the Dakshinkali Mandir stop. It should take around 30-40 minutes. After getting off, follow the signs for Dakshinkali Mandir, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.
Bicycle
From your accommodation in Nagarkot, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops. Head towards the main road and ride downhill towards Kathmandu. The total distance is around 8 km. Keep an eye out for the signs indicating Dakshinkali Mandir, and as you approach the area, slow down and look for the entrance to the temple, which is on your right side. Make sure to park your bicycle securely before entering the temple grounds.
Hiking
For those who enjoy hiking, you can take the scenic trail from Nagarkot to Dakshinkali Mandir. Start at the main viewpoint and take the trail that leads towards the forest area. Follow the trail for about 4 km, enjoying the natural scenery and local wildlife. Eventually, you will reach a road that leads directly to Dakshinkali Mandir. This hike typically takes around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
