Walking
If you are in Thamel, start at the Thamel Chowk and head towards the north. Walk along the road until you reach the Shankar Dev Campus on your right. Continue walking straight; you will cross a few small shops and local eateries. After about 20 minutes, keep an eye out for the Samakhusi area on your left. Once you get to Samakhusi, look for the signs that will direct you towards Dakshinkali Mandir. It is located on Samakhusi 26, which is a bit uphill, so be prepared for a slight climb.
Public Bus
From Thamel, walk to the nearest bus station at Ratna Park. Here, look for a bus heading towards Lagankhel or Dakshinkali. The bus fare is very economical. Once you board the bus, inform the conductor that you are going to Dakshinkali Mandir, and they will let you know when to get off. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. After you get off, follow the signs towards Samakhusi 26, where the temple is located.
Taxi or Ride-Sharing
In Thamel, you can easily find taxis or use ride-sharing apps like Pathao or Tootle. Tell the driver you want to go to Dakshinkali Mandir located at 44600, Samakhusi 26. The ride should take about 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to check that they are taking the right route, as some drivers may not be familiar with the location.
