Walking
From the main Nagarkot view tower, head east on the main path down the hill. Continue straight until you reach the fork where the road splits. Take the left path that leads to a village. Walk through the village, following signs towards Panauti, which is approximately 12 kilometers away. You will encounter beautiful scenery along the way. Once you reach the main road, continue walking until you arrive in Panauti.
Local Bus
From the Nagarkot bus park, take a local bus heading towards Bhaktapur. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at Panauti. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Panauti, ask locals for directions to Indreshwor Temple Square, where the Panauti Museum is located. It’s just a short walk from the bus stop.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Nagarkot. Start from the main square and head downhill towards Panauti. Follow the trail signs towards Panauti. The ride is approximately 12 kilometers and will take around 1-2 hours, depending on your pace. Once you reach Panauti, look for Indreshwor Temple Square where the museum is situated.
