From the main square of Nagarkot, start walking down the main road that leads towards the entrance of the Nagarkot village. Follow the signs that indicate the direction to Bhaktapur or Kathmandu. After approximately 30 minutes of walking, you will reach the bus stop where local buses depart to Kathmandu. Make sure to ask locals if you are unsure. Board the bus heading to Kathmandu and inform the driver you want to get off at Basantapur. The bus ride will take about 1 hour.
Bus
Once you arrive in Kathmandu, ask the locals for directions to Basantapur Durbar Square. It's a well-known area. From the bus stop, walk towards the main road and take a left. Continue walking straight for about 10-15 minutes until you reach the square. The Taleju Bhawani Temple is located on Layaku Marg, which is just off the square. Look for the tall temple structure and you will find it easily.

If you are already in Basantapur, navigate towards the Durbar Square area. The Taleju Bhawani Temple is situated at the southern end of the square.
