Getting There

    From Namche Bazaar, start at the main square where you can find shops and cafes. Head east towards the exit of the village, following the signs for Tengboche. The trail will begin with a gradual ascent out of Namche. Continue on this well-marked path, enjoying views of the valley and surrounding peaks. After about 1 to 1.5 hours, you will reach a viewpoint with a panoramic view of the Himalayas, including Mount Everest. Take a moment to enjoy the scenery before continuing. The trail will lead you down a steep section before ascending again towards Tengboche. After approximately 2 to 3 hours of hiking from Namche, you will reach the village of Tengboche, where the monastery is located. The monastery is prominent and hard to miss; it will be a large red and white structure on your left as you enter the village.
