Car
If you are driving from Bharatpur, head east on the Prithvi Highway (Himalayan Highway) towards Kathmandu. After about 20 km, look for signs for Kulekhani, and take the turnoff to the right. Follow the road for approximately 10 km until you reach the area of Kulekhani. Continue on the road leading to H5V6+H69, where you will find Indrasarobar Lake. Ensure you have enough fuel and supplies, as there are limited services along the way.
Public Transportation
From Bharatpur, you can take a local bus heading towards Kathmandu. Inform the conductor to drop you at the Kulekhani turnoff. The bus ride costs around NPR 200-300 and takes about 1 hour. Once you get off, you can catch a local jeep or walk about 10 km along the road leading to H5V6+H69, Indrasarobar Rural Municipality. The jeep will cost you approximately NPR 100-150 per person.
Taxi
Alternatively, you can hire a taxi from Bharatpur directly to Indrasarobar Lake. This will be more comfortable but also more expensive, costing around NPR 1500-2500 depending on negotiation and the type of vehicle. The ride will take about an hour. Make sure to confirm the return fare with the driver as well.
Walking
If you are feeling adventurous and already in the Kulekhani area, you can walk to Indrasarobar Lake from the nearby village. The walk is approximately 5 km and will take you through scenic landscapes. Ensure you have good walking shoes and plenty of water, as there are limited facilities along the way.
