Car
If you are driving to Chitwan National Park, head towards the town of Sauraha, which is the main entrance to the park. From Narayani Zone, you can follow the highway towards Bharatpur (approximately 20 km), then take the road towards Sauraha (about 10 km). Look for signs leading to Chitwan National Park as you get closer. Parking is available near the park entrance.
Public Bus
To take a public bus to Chitwan National Park, find a bus station in Narayani Zone that has routes to Sauraha or Bharatpur. Buses regularly depart from Narayani Zone and can cost around NPR 200-300. Once you arrive in Bharatpur, you can take a local microbus or a cycle rickshaw to Sauraha, which is about a 15-minute ride. Ensure to check the bus schedule for return trips.
Private Taxi
Hiring a private taxi is a convenient option to reach Chitwan National Park. You can book a taxi from any major city in Narayani Zone. The fare will typically range from NPR 2000 to NPR 3000, depending on your starting point. The driver will take you directly to the entrance of the park. Cycle Rickshaw
If you are already in Sauraha, you can hire a cycle rickshaw to take you to the park entrance. Rickshaws are available throughout Sauraha and the fare is approximately NPR 100-200 for a short ride. Make sure to agree on the price before starting your journey.
Walking
For those staying in Sauraha, it is possible to walk to the park entrance. The walk will take you approximately 20-30 minutes and is a great way to enjoy the local scenery. Follow the main road through Sauraha, and you will see signs directing you towards Chitwan National Park.
