Walking
From your current location in Patan, head towards the nearest main road, either Pulchowk Road or Satdobato Road. Follow Pulchowk Road north until you reach the junction at Lagankhel. At Lagankhel, take the left towards Bhaktapur. Continue straight on this road, which eventually leads into the Bhaktapur Durbar Square area. As you approach Durbar Square, you will notice signs directing you towards the National Art Museum. The museum is located at MCCH+W55, Durbar Square, Bhaktapur.

Locate a nearby bus stop in Patan that serves routes to Bhaktapur. Buses frequently run from Lagankhel to Bhaktapur, so board one heading to Bhaktapur. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive at Bhaktapur, get off at the main bus station. From the bus station, walk towards Durbar Square, and follow the signs to the National Art Museum at MCCH+W55, Durbar Square.

You can hire a cycle rickshaw from popular spots in Patan, such as Patan Durbar Square or Pulchowk. Negotiate a fare to Bhaktapur Durbar Square, which should cost around 300-500 NPR.
