Sundarijal Waterfall: A Natural Gem in Gokarneshwor

Getting There

• Walking

  From the Patan Durbar Square, head east towards the Mahabouddha Temple. Continue straight for about 15 minutes until you reach the intersection with Pulchowk Road. Turn left onto Pulchowk Road and walk for another 10 minutes. You will pass several shops and cafes along the way. Once you reach the main road, look for a bus stop where you can catch a local bus heading towards Gokarneshwor. Get on the bus and ride until you reach the Sundarijal bus terminal. From there, it's a short walk to the entrance of Sundarijal Waterfall.

• Public Bus

  Start at the Patan Durbar Square and walk to the nearest bus stop on the main road. Take a local bus heading to Gokarneshwor. The bus fare is minimal, and the ride takes around 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Gokarneshwor bus terminal, follow the signs to Sundarijal. It’s about a 20-minute walk from the bus terminal to the waterfall. Make sure to ask locals for directions if you're unsure.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from a shop near Patan Durbar Square. Ride towards Pulchowk Road and follow the same path as the bus route. Cycling will take approximately 40 minutes to reach Gokarneshwor. Once you arrive at the Sundarijal area, lock your bike at the designated parking area and walk the remaining distance to the waterfall.
