From Patan Durbar Square, head east towards the main road (Patan - Kathmandu Road). Once you reach the road, turn left and walk along it for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Nepal Vipassana Meditation Center Rd. Turn right onto Nepal Vipassana Meditation Center Rd and continue walking straight for another 10-15 minutes. You will see Budhanilkantha Temple on your left side along this road. The temple is situated at the base of the Shivalkharka hill, and you will easily spot its entrance.

From Patan Durbar Square, walk to the nearest bus stop on the main road (Patan - Kathmandu Road) and take a local bus heading towards Budhanilkantha. Make sure to ask the bus conductor to drop you off at Budhanilkantha Temple. The bus ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you get off, the temple entrance will be within a short walking distance from the bus stop.
Rickshaw
From your location in Patan, hire a rickshaw (tuk-tuk) and tell the driver to take you to Budhanilkantha Temple. It is important to mention the temple's name clearly, as it is a well-known landmark.
