Local know-how to help you travel smarter and make the most of every moment.
Car
If you're driving from Lakeside in Pokhara, head towards the Prithvi Highway (also known as the Pokhara-Baglung Highway). Follow the highway for approximately 10 km until you reach the sign for Pumdikot. Turn left onto the road towards Pumdikot and continue for about 2 km until you reach the entrance of the Pumdikot Religious Area. Parking is available nearby, but be prepared for a short walk to the temple complex.
Public Transportation (Local Bus)
From Lakeside, you can catch a local bus heading towards Baglung. Board the bus and inform the driver that you want to get off at the Pumdikot stop. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you disembark, follow the signs leading to Pumdikot Religious Area, which is a short 15-minute walk uphill.
Taxi
You can hire a taxi from anywhere in Pokhara Valley. Simply tell the driver 'Pumdikot Religious Area' or show them the address: Pokhara 33700. The taxi ride will take about 20 minutes, depending on traffic. Expect to pay around NPR 500-800 for the ride. Taxis can drop you off at the entrance, where you will need to walk a short distance to the temple.
Motorbike Rental
For a more adventurous option, consider renting a motorbike. Many rental shops are available in Lakeside. After renting, head towards Prithvi Highway and follow the same route as when driving. The trip should take about 20 minutes. Be sure to wear a helmet and follow local traffic regulations. Parking is available close to the temple.
