Car
If you are driving from anywhere within Pokhara Valley, head towards Sarangkot, which is about a 30-minute drive from the lakeside area of Pokhara. Take the Prithvi Highway and follow the signs towards Sarangkot. As you ascend the hill, you will encounter several turns; keep following the main road until you reach the top where you will find stunning views and attractions.
Public Bus
From the lakeside area, you can catch a local bus heading to Sarangkot. Look for buses at the main bus station near the lake. The bus ride will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic. Make sure to inform the bus conductor that you want to get off at Sarangkot. The fare is typically around NPR 50-100.
Taxi
For a more comfortable journey, you can hire a taxi from any point in Pokhara. Taxi services are widely available in the lakeside area. Negotiate the fare beforehand; it should cost around NPR 1000-1500 for a one-way trip to Sarangkot. The ride will take about 30 minutes.
Motorbike Rental
If you prefer to explore at your own pace, consider renting a motorbike. Many rental shops are available along the lakeside. After renting, follow the same route as for cars. Ensure you have a valid driver's license and wear a helmet. Rental costs can range from NPR 700-1500 per day.
