Car
If you are driving, start from Lakeside, a popular area in Pokhara. Head southeast on the Lakeside road, which will take you past the Phewa Lake. Continue straight until you reach the intersection at Damside. Take a left turn onto Park Sadak. Follow Park Sadak for about 1.5 kilometers, and you will see Basundhara Park on your left. There is usually parking available nearby, but be prepared for a small parking fee, typically around NPR 50-100.
Public Transportation (Local Bus)
To reach Basundhara Park via public transportation, catch a local bus from Lakeside heading towards Damside. The buses are frequent and cost around NPR 20-30 per person. Inform the conductor that you are going to Basundhara Park. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at the Damside stop. From there, walk about 15 minutes along Park Sadak to reach the park entrance, which will be on your left.
Taxi
For a more convenient option, consider taking a taxi from your location in Pokhara. Taxis are readily available around the Lakeside area. Negotiate the fare beforehand; it should cost around NPR 300-500 to Basundhara Park, depending on your pickup location. The taxi will drive you directly to the park entrance.
Walking (from Lakeside)
If you are staying in the Lakeside area and prefer walking, you can reach Basundhara Park on foot. Start by walking southeast along the Lakeside road, passing Phewa Lake. Once you reach Damside, take a left turn onto Park Sadak. The walk is about 2 kilometers and will take around 30-40 minutes. Enjoy the scenic views along the way!
