Getting There

Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Pokhara. Head towards the Lakeside area and look for the signs directing you to Sarangkot. The most common route is to take the Prithvi Highway (also known as the Pokhara-Lumbini Highway) towards the north. After about 8 kilometers, you will reach the Sarangkot road junction. Turn left at the junction and continue driving uphill for approximately 5 kilometers. The road is winding and may be steep, so drive cautiously. There are several parking areas near the viewpoint.

Public Transportation (Bus)
For those using public transportation, head to the bus station in Pokhara (near the Lakeside area). Look for the local buses that head towards Sarangkot. Buses leave frequently throughout the day and the fare is very affordable, usually between 30-50 NPR. The ride will take about 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Once you reach the Sarangkot bus stop, you will need to walk for about 15-20 minutes uphill to reach the viewpoint.

Taking a taxi is another convenient option. You can easily find taxis around the Lakeside area. Negotiate the fare before getting in; a one-way trip to Sarangkot should cost around 800-1200 NPR. The taxi will take you directly to the viewpoint, which is approximately a 20-30 minute drive depending on traffic.
