Getting there

Walking

If you are in Lakeside, start by heading east towards the main road (Lakeside Road). Once you reach the main road, turn left and walk towards the traffic circle. Continue straight until you see the sign for Sarangkot on your right. Follow this road uphill, passing through the village of Sarangkot. The road will wind and may become steep, so take your time. After approximately a 1.5-hour walk, you will arrive at the viewpoint area of Sarangkot, where you can enjoy stunning views of the Annapurna range.

Bicycle

Rent a bicycle from Lakeside and head towards the Pokhara-Naudanda road. Follow this road uphill; it will take you through the local villages. After about 30-45 minutes of cycling, you will reach a junction with a sign for Sarangkot. Turn left and continue up the hill. The road can be steep in parts, so be prepared for a workout! After about 20 minutes, you will arrive at Sarangkot's viewpoint.

Trekking

For those looking for a trekking experience, you can start from the Lakeside area. Follow the path that leads towards the hills, marked by local trekking signs. The trek to Sarangkot takes around 2-3 hours depending on your pace. The trail is well-marked, and you will pass through small villages and terraced fields. Keep an eye out for the beautiful landscape along the way. When you reach the top, you will find stunning views of the Himalayas.

Local Bus

From Lakeside, walk to the nearest local bus stop. Look for a bus heading to Sarangkot; these can usually be found along the main road. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Sarangkot. Once you arrive, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the viewpoint, which is well-signposted.
