    Getting There

    Car/Private Vehicle

    If you're starting from Biratnagar, take the East-West Highway (Mahendra Highway) towards the town of Bhadrapur. From Bhadrapur, head towards Ilam and follow the signs to Taplejung. Once in Taplejung, the road to Suketar will be your next stop. From Suketar, you will need to park your vehicle and prepare for a trek, as the road does not extend to Everest Base Camp. The total driving time is approximately 10-12 hours depending on traffic and road conditions.

    Public Transportation (Bus)

    From Biratnagar, take a bus to Bhadrapur. Once in Bhadrapur, catch a local bus or jeep to Ilam. After reaching Ilam, take another bus to Taplejung. The entire bus journey may take around 12-14 hours. From Taplejung, you will need to hire a local guide or join a trekking group to begin your hike towards Everest Base Camp, as public transport does not reach the camp itself.

    Trekking

    From Suketar, the trek to Everest Base Camp begins. The trek is divided into several stages, starting with a hike to Phaplu, then on to the village of Lukla, where you can rest.
