Car
If you're traveling by car, you can take the Araniko Highway (also known as the Kathmandu-Lhasa Highway) from various locations in Province No. 1. Follow the signs towards Kathmandu. Once you enter the city, continue straight until you reach the central area. Look for signs that lead to Basantapur. You can park your car at one of the designated parking areas near Kathmandu Durbar Square. Parking fees may vary, so be prepared to pay around NPR 100-200 for a few hours.
Public Bus
For those using public transportation, find a bus terminal in your location in Province No. 1. You can catch a bus heading to Kathmandu, which will drop you off at the New Bus Park in Kathmandu. From there, take a local microbus or a taxi to Basantapur. The microbus fare is around NPR 20-30, while a taxi may cost you approximately NPR 300-500. Upon reaching Basantapur, follow the signs to Kathmandu Durbar Square, which is a short walk from there.
Taxi
