Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Rara Lake. Head towards the western side of the lake, following the road that leads to the Rara National Park entrance. Continue on this road for about 3 kilometers until you reach the trailhead for Chuchemara Lek. There should be signs indicating the pathway to the viewpoint. The road is well-maintained, but be cautious of occasional potholes. Parking is available near the trailhead.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a local bus or jeep from the main bus station in Rara Lake towards the Rara National Park entrance. The fare is approximately NPR 150-200 per person. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the trailhead for Chuchemara Lek. Once you arrive at the trailhead, follow the marked trail for about 1.5 to 2 hours to reach the viewpoint. The path is steep in some places, so wear comfortable shoes.
Hiking
After reaching the trailhead, begin your hike towards Chuchemara Lek. The hike takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace. The trail is well-marked, and you will encounter beautiful views along the way. Bring plenty of water and snacks, as there are no facilities on the trail. The viewpoint offers stunning panoramas of Rara Lake and the surrounding mountains, making the effort worthwhile.
