To reach Hillary Peak from any location in Rolwaling Valley, you will first need to make your way to the village of Khumjung. If you are starting from the village of Dingboche, which is a common base, trek towards Tengboche first. From Tengboche, head towards Khumjung, which will take approximately 4-5 hours of trekking. The trails are well-marked, and you will have the chance to enjoy stunning views along the way. Ensure you have a map or a local guide as you navigate through the trails. Once you reach Khumjung, from there follow the trail towards Hillary Peak, which is roughly a 2-hour trek. The final section involves a bit of a climb, so be prepared for a moderate level of exertion.

Transportation to Khumjung
To get to Khumjung, you can take a public bus or jeep from Kathmandu to the town of Salleri, which is the gateway to the Rolwaling Valley. The journey takes about 8-10 hours. From Salleri, you can hire a local jeep or trek to Khumjung, which is about a 6-7 hour trek through beautiful landscapes. Alternatively, you can take a domestic flight to Lukla and then trek from there, but it will require additional time to reach Khumjung.
