To reach the Annapurna Circuit Trek starting point at Muktinath, begin your journey in Upper Mustang by taking a jeep or local bus from Jomsom. From Upper Mustang, make your way to Jomsom, which is the nearest major town. The road to Jomsom is scenic and takes approximately 1 to 2 hours. Once in Jomsom, find a local bus or hire a jeep to Muktinath. The ride from Jomsom to Muktinath typically takes about 30-45 minutes. Buses run regularly, but it's advisable to check the schedule in advance. The fare for a bus is generally around NPR 300-500, while a jeep may cost around NPR 2,500-3,500 depending on the number of passengers.

Trekking from Muktinath to Annapurna Circuit
Once you arrive in Muktinath, you can start your trek on the Annapurna Circuit. Follow the clearly marked trails leading towards Thorong La Pass. The trek from Muktinath to Thorong Phedi (the base for Thorong La) is approximately 14 km and can take around 6-7 hours, depending on your pace. Ensure you have a map or a local guide, as the trails can be less obvious in parts. You may want to stay overnight in Thorong Phedi or continue to higher altitudes to acclimatize. Accommodations along the trek are available in tea houses.
