Car
From Jomsom, the main town in Upper Mustang, take the road towards Kagbeni. This road is well-marked and takes approximately 30 minutes. After Kagbeni, continue on the road towards the Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve. The journey may take around 2-3 hours depending on road conditions. It is advisable to use a 4WD vehicle due to the rough terrain. Follow signs for Dhorpatan until you reach the reserve entrance.
Public Transportation
Start from Jomsom and take a local bus or jeep heading towards Kagbeni. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you reach Kagbeni, you will need to hire a jeep or arrange for a local guide with a vehicle to take you to Dhorpatan. The jeep ride from Kagbeni to the reserve will take approximately 2-3 hours.
