Bus
From Pokhara, take a tourist bus to Nayapul. Buses depart frequently from the Tourist Bus Park in Pokhara. The journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours and costs around NPR 200-300. Once you reach Nayapul, you will need to register with the ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area Permit) office, which costs NPR 3,000 for foreign tourists. After registration, continue on foot or hire a local guide/porter for the trek.
Trek
From Nayapul, begin your trek towards Ghandruk, which is approximately a 4-6 hour walk. Follow the well-marked trails through beautiful landscapes and local villages. There are options for guesthouses along the way for food and lodging. Make sure to carry enough water and snacks.
Local Transportation
If you're unable to trek from Nayapul to Ghandruk, you can hire a private jeep from Nayapul to Ghandruk. This costs around NPR 4,000-5,000 for the whole jeep and takes about 1.5 hours. However, this option is less common as most trekkers prefer the scenic trek.
