Getting there

Car

If you're traveling by car, make your way to Pokhara. From the center of Pokhara, head northwest towards the Lakeside area and take the road leading to Sarangkot. Follow the signs for Sarangkot, which is approximately 8 km from Pokhara. Once you reach the Sarangkot viewpoint, continue on the road for another 3 km until you see the signs for Mattikhan. The final stretch is a steep road which may require a vehicle with good traction, especially during the rainy season. Parking is available near the tower.

Public Transportation

For those opting for public transportation, start at the Pokhara Bus Park and take a local bus heading towards Sarangkot. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes and costs around NPR 50-100. Once you reach Sarangkot, you can either walk (approximately 3 km) or hire a local taxi to take you to Mattikhan Mountain View Tower for about NPR 300-500. The taxi will take you directly to the tower's entrance.

Hiking

If you enjoy hiking, after reaching Sarangkot, you can opt for a scenic hike to Mattikhan Mountain View Tower. The hike is about 3 km and offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas. It is advisable to wear comfortable shoes and carry water. The trail is well-marked, but be cautious of the steep sections.
