Walking
If you are in the city center of Amersfoort, make your way to the train station (Amersfoort Centraal). From the train station, head south on Stationsplein towards Westsingel. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Leusderweg. Turn right onto Leusderweg and follow it as it curves to the left becoming Stadsring. After approximately 15 minutes, you will reach the Amersfoort's bus station. From there, take bus line 1 towards Amsterdam. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes. When you arrive at Amsterdam Centraal Station, exit the bus and head west towards the Damrak. Walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the Dam Square. The Royal Palace Amsterdam is located on the northwest side of the square at Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal 147.
Public Transport - Train and Tram
Start at Amersfoort Centraal station. Purchase a train ticket to Amsterdam Centraal. Trains run frequently, approximately every 15 minutes. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Centraal, exit the station and head towards the tram stop outside the station. Take tram line 5 or 12 towards 'Zuid' or 'Amsterdam, Rembrandtplein'. Get off at the 'Dam' stop. From the tram stop, it is a short 5-minute walk to the Royal Palace Amsterdam located at Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal 147.
