From the center of Amersfoort, head towards the Amersfoort train station. Exit the station and walk straight down Stationsplein. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Westsingel. Turn right onto Westsingel and walk until you reach the intersection with Utrechtseweg. Continue walking straight; this will lead you into the heart of Amsterdam. Once you arrive in Amsterdam, you can easily find the Singel canal by following the signs to Amsterdam-Centrum.

Start at Amersfoort train station. Purchase a ticket for Amsterdam Centraal station. Board a train that is heading towards Amsterdam; trains run frequently, approximately every 15-30 minutes. The journey will take around 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Amsterdam Centraal, exit the station and head towards the main square. From there, follow the signs towards the Singel canal, which is within walking distance.

Public Transport - Bus
At Amersfoort, go to the bus station adjacent to the train station. Look for bus line 74 or 76; these buses head towards Almere and will stop at Amsterdam Centraal. The bus ride will take around 50 minutes. Once you arrive at the Amsterdam Centraal bus station, walk towards the main entrance and follow signs for the Singel canal, which is just a short walk away.
