From Amsterdam Central Station, head to the tram stop located just outside the station. Take tram line 12, 13, or 17 in the direction of Haarlemmerplein. Stay on the tram for about 10 minutes, and disembark at Haarlemmerplein. From the tram stop, Haarlemmerpoort will be directly visible as you walk towards it.

If you are near the Leidseplein area, go to the bus stop at Leidseplein. Take bus line 21 towards 'Zandvoort'. After about 15 minutes, get off at the 'Haarlemmerplein' stop. Haarlemmerpoort is just a short walk from the bus stop, and you can see it as you approach the square.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike rental stations around the city. From the Dam Square, head northwest towards Haarlemmerstraat, then continue straight until you reach Haarlemmerplein. Haarlemmerpoort will be at the end of the square. The ride takes about 10-15 minutes, depending on your speed.

If you are close to the city center, walking to Haarlemmerpoort is a lovely option. From the Dam Square, walk towards the west along Damstraat, which turns into Haarlemmerstraat. Continue straight for about 20 minutes until you reach Haarlemmerplein. Haarlemmerpoort will be at the end of the square, easily identifiable as a beautiful historical structure.
