Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From Amsterdam Central Station, take tram line 5 towards Amstelveen, and get off at 'Zuid' station. At 'Zuid', transfer to the metro line 52 (North-South line) and travel towards 'Zuid' until you reach 'Zuid' station. From there, take bus line 199 towards 'Amstelveen, Stadshart' and get off at 'Amstelveen, Amsterdamse Bos' stop. The entrance to Het Amsterdamse Bos is just a short walk from the bus stop.

    If you're comfortable biking in Amsterdam, rent a bike and head south from the city center. Follow the signs towards Amstelveen. You can take the bike lanes through the Vondelpark, which will lead you towards the southern part of the city. Continue on the bike path until you reach Het Amsterdamse Bos, which is clearly marked.
